nightbike:

Many people need desperately to receive this message: ‘I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.’”
Kurt Vonnegut (November 11, 1922 - April 11, 2007)

(Excuse me as I casually sob over the death of my favourite author)

I’m convinced that fear is at the root of most bad writing.

What is your new job?

I am a server at O’Charley’s (you may or may not know what that is, since they’re mostly just in the south and I dunno where you live. Anyway, it’s a chain of restaurants)

I just started reading the Writing Freak Series. I must say, it is fantastic.

Thank <333333333

(hey guys look i’m not dead)

Taking a break from The Writing Freak Series (?)

(SORRY BUT I HAVE TO DO THINGS AND I JUST GOT A JOB SO AS OF NOW IT IS ON HOLD)

Yeah so I’m trying to get a literary agent before I graduate high school and to do that I have to edit my novel for the million trillionth time which involves caffeine and crying (which is time consuming ok) and editing has fast turning into completely rewriting because I’m like that so everything else is taking a backseat. Then I went and got a job so now I’m even more busy and ugh.

I may ask for your help on a few things on my manuscript, how does that sound? I do critiques for you guys when i feel like it all the time so maybe you guys can give me a taste of my own medicine. Ah? ah?? *wiggles eyebrows*

Yeah I may post a few pages on here and ask for your thoughts on it, what you like, what’s confusing, where your mind was as you’re reading. Would you guys be interested in that? Lemme know and I shall decide whether I’m actually going to post some.

writer-on-fireee:

I am a reader. I am a writer. People assume I do these things to escape. You couldn’t be more right. I’m escaping a world I don’t like. A world I have no control in. In this world, I am nothing. I am a color, a height, a weight, a number. But in the world of books and writing, I am amazing. I am powerful. I am different. People are better. Worlds are endless. Change is possible. Life is manageable.

Five facts about reading:

rumputsantoso:

Fact 1: Reading can make you a better conversationalist.

Fact 2: Neighbours will never complain that your book is too loud.

Fact 3: Knowledge by osmosis has not yet been perfected. You’d better read.

Fact 4: Books have stopped bullets - reading might save your life.

Fact 5: Dinosaurs didn’t read. Look what happened to them.

Taking Questions Again

Over the next week I will have minimal English homework (which is really the class that slams me with work) so I should be able to do a little extra with my blog (which isn’t saying much, as of late, I know).

So I am once again encouraging questions. And I feel like asks are never enough to fit all of the context of writing questions in, so if you guys want to send me a fanmail or submit a question under the submit link on my blog so you can have more wordsies to explain your question, that’s coolio too.

But yes. Send me your writing questions and I shall take a crack at them.
